Has it really been 14 months already?
Approximately 14 months ago, I began the insanity known as the didactic phase of Physician Assistant school. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions ranging from excitement, anxiety, self-doubt, burn out, irritability, comprehension, pride, confidence, and several others. There were times I wanted to scream and times I wanted to cry, but ended up laughing because screaming or crying just didn't seem professional or appropriate. But the important thing is that I survived along with the rest of my class. Today, we took our last test for this phase and I can proudly say that I have "unofficially" passed. (Official grades aren't up yet.) Now for a little vacation before starting the clinical phase of the program. In 14 short months, hopefully I will be blogging about graduation.

Our newest little creatures...
Just when I thought our "zoo" was down to two dogs and various fish, we have added two adorable ferrets to the mix. Say hello to Murphy & Conner (our tribute to Boondock Saints)! Murphy was rescued from a kid who didn't have the time or knowledge to care for a ferret. About a week later, we found Murphy a friend in Conner. They have been getting along well and having lots of fun. From the looks of it, we will be having daily WWE ferret style wrestling matches.

Hello Blogging World!
I am starting this blog in honor of my grandfather who I consider a pre-computer age blogger. My grandpa was a newspaper editor and wrote a column called Ramblin's & Rantin's by Ray for many, many years. His column included his thoughts on his every day life to current events to everything in between. This is my version. Welcome to my Ramblin's and Rantin's!
